Overview

The RiNo Art House was conceptualized for a prominent corner of the popular RiNo neighborhood in Denver, adjacent to the new RiverFront Promenade. The project proposed to bring 35 uniquely designed residential units across its 2-5 stories, with commercial and utilitarian programs at its base. The building mass steps back at every level to create roof decks and building mass reduction. The green solar wall at the buildings south elevation combined with its solar roof were modeled to offset the buildings energy consumption - thus achieving Net Zero. This is made possible by utilizing Passive House building science principles which drastically reduce a buildings energy demand.
